Estudio Teddy Cruz is a forward thinking architecture firm, more concerned with building communities than simply building. Teddy Cruz's practice is rooted in the social and economic conditions of the trans-border territory between San Diego, California and Tijuana, Mexico. Artkrush editor Paul Laster recently spoke to Cruz about his social concerns and his projects currently on view from New York to Venice.

developed and implemented a series of varied projects on the basis of a
creative analysis of Hoogvliet. In so doing, its underlying conviction
was that the best and most inspiring basis for the future of this
postwar town was to enhance, renew and make the best use of HoogvlietÕs
existing characteristics and qualities, both physical and social. The
projects WiMBY! undertook ranged from experimental buildings and
small-scale projects to joint ventures in the fields of architecture,
urban planning, education, art and socio-cultural projects.http://www.wimby.nl/This is an expanding and interactive part of the site, please use the Comments function to add in more links or email them to contactyouarehere(at)gmail.com.
